Always surround lyrics with <lyrics> and </lyrics> tags; line breaks will be preserved exactly as you enter them.

For example,

<lyrics>Love me two times, baby
Love me twice today
Love me two times, girl</lyrics>

will be rendered as

Love me two times, baby
Love me twice today
Love me two times, girl

Outside the lyrics tags, when a line break is needed, use a double line break or the <br/> tag.
