ZOX is a band from Providence, Rhode Island. The band consists of four members: namesake John Zox (drums), Eli Miller (guitar, vocals), Spencer Swain (violin, vocals), Dan Edinberg (bass, vocals); the four came together at Brown University in 1999. Their debut album, Take Me Home, was released in 2003. They have opened for bands such as The Black Eyed Peas, O.A.R., Rusted Root, Everclear, Dispatch, Live, Guster, and Flogging Molly.

In 2005, they released a second album titled The Wait which was listed on the Billboard Magazine Internet Album Charts in 7th position between the Black Eyed Peas and Coldplay selling 2,700 albums nationwide and the top selling album in Rhode Island. ZOX went on an extensive Eastern US tour, frequently playing with Paranoid Social Club, in support of the new album.

In 2006, ZOX were featured at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. The band was signed in 2006 with SideOneDummy Records, and The Wait was re-released with them on June 6 in Canada and the United States. It was released on September 18 in the UK, then October 8 in mainland Europe. During the summer, ZOX toured on the Warped Tour and Rusted Root, followed by their first ever European tour, which included playing at Reading and Leeds Festivals.

ZOX will begin producing their third album at the beginning of 2007.
