Public Image Ltd. (PiL) are an English rock band formed in 1978 by vocalist John Lydon (ex-Sex Pistols), ex-Clash guitarist Keith Levene, and bassist Jah Wobble. PiL are commonly regarded as one of the most challenging and innovative bands of the post-punk period.
