Manowar
From Lyriki
Manowar is an American Heavy Metal band. Formed in 1980 the band has become known for their epic sound and their support of 'true metal' and its followers. The bands themes often break numerous metal clichés as they create songs about 'metal warriors' and shamelessly support Heavy Metal. The band has medieval and classic themes in both their lyrics and style of music. Examples can be seen in the bands rendition of Nessun Dorma in Warriors of the World. The bands medieval-style can be heard well in the backing vocals of The Crown and the Ring from the album Kings of Metal. To see their their classical influence a good example is in their nearly half hour epic Achilles, Agony, and Ecstasy in Eight Parts from The Triumph of Steel.
