Death was an influential progressive technical death metal band from the United States that was founded in 1983 and dissolved in 1999. Founder/vocalist/guitarist Chuck Schuldiner is widely credited as one of the international pioneers of the death metal genre and the Death debut Scream Bloody Gore is considered a genre template.
