CMX, originally Cloaca Maxima, is a Finnish rock band. They are known for singer/bassist A. W. Yrjänä's poetic lyrics and their progressive musical style that is influenced by artists including Pixies, Helmet and Dead Kennedys. In more recent years they have also been heavily influenced by 1960s and 1970s progressive rock bands such as Rush, Yes, King Crimson and Pink Floyd.
